Set Up a VIP Subscription Enrollment in Phoenix
Setting up a VIP subscription in Phoenix requires configuring billing types, creating products, and linking them to define the enrollment flow.
This setup allows you to:

Enroll customers automatically after a direct purchase.

Offer a trial period (VIP initial).

Transition customers into a recurring subscription (VIP recurring).
In this guide, you’ll learn how to configure each component and connect them into a complete VIP subscription flow.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that:

You have access to the Phoenix Dashboard.

A store is already created and available.
-
You have permission to manage Billing Types and Products.
Create Billing Types
Billing Types define how and when customers are charged. For this flow, you will create three billing types: Direct Sale, VIP Initial (trial), and VIP Recurring.
Create Direct Sale
This billing type is used for the initial one-time purchase that enrolls the customer into the subscription flow.
To create the Direct Sale billing type:

Go to eCommerce.

Select Billing Type.
-
Click + Add Billing Type.

Complete the form using the following values:

Select Client: Your client name

Select Store: Your store name
-
Billing Type Name: Enter

Create Products
After creating the billing types, you need to create products and assign the corresponding billing types.
Create VIP Initial Product
This product is used during the trial period.
To create the VIP Initial product:

Go to eCommerce.

Select Products.
-
Click View.

Click + Add Product.

Complete the form using the following values:

Click Add Product.
After creating the product, the Edit Product screen opens automatically.

In the Billing Type field, select VIP Initial.

Create VIP Recurring Product
This product is used for the ongoing subscription.
To create the VIP Recurring product:

Click Add Product.

After creating the product, the Edit Product screen opens automatically.

Link Billing Types for Enrollment
Once all billing types are created, you must link them to define the subscription flow.
To link the billing types:

Go back to eCommerce.

Select Billing Type.
-
Locate VIP Initial and click the edit icon.

In the Add Next Billing Type field, select
Yesto access further options. -
Select VIP Recurring from the dropdown in the Select Next Billing Type field.

Click Confirm.
How the VIP Subscription Flow Works
After completing the setup, the system processes the subscription as follows:

A customer completes a Direct Sale.
-
The customer is automatically enrolled in VIP Initial.
-
The trial period begins (for example, 14 days).
-
After the delay, the customer is charged for VIP Recurring.
-
The subscription continues based on the defined billing cycle (for example, every 30 days).
Your VIP subscription enrollment is now fully configured.
Customers will automatically move from the initial purchase to the trial period and then into a recurring subscription without manual intervention.
